Improve Group Brown Bag a Success by Susan Murphy

On a very cold January 23rd several brave souls came to visit us in Bloomington for the first Evaluation Conversation Brown Bag facilitated by the Improve Group. This month's topic was logic models and the conversation was lively, engaged and informative.

Our discussion group included people from the non-profit, local government and state agencies (rep. health, education, community development). Attendees brought questions, examples and issues about logic models: when to use them, how to make them work to the best advantage of a program, and what are the limitations of logic models. President and CEO Leah Goldstein Moses gave evaluation tips and advice and we all learned from each other. One popular piece of information was to use logic models in a more pictorial than table format - showing directions, reasonings, etc.

The next brown bag is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26th from Noon to 1:00 p.m. The topic for the day is Evaluation in and with the Arts. Please join us.
