Retreating...
Yesterday, Improve Group staff took our second annual retreat. Although we try to make regular time to connect, this is a time when we can learn from each other, share ideas, reflect on accomplishments and challenges of the last year, and make plans for the coming year.
We started our day with a training from our HR provider, Administaff. We learned a few different methods for giving feedback, both positive and negative. This is helpful for our staff. We usually work on teams on a project, and giving feedback to peers is sometimes challenging.
We also created a vision for the coming year; one of the things we are looking forward to is doing more teaching. Because we are so passionate about evaluation, research and planning we want to help our clients and others learn more about our methods.
