Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. The Minnesota State Arts Board is a state agency that promotes the arts in Minnesota. It works in partnership with eleven regional arts councils to ensure that individuals in every community of the state have opportunities to participate in the arts.The Minnesota Regional Arts Councils are: (1) Northwest Minnesota Arts Council, (2) Region 2 Arts Council, (3) Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, (4) Lake Region Arts Council, (5) Five Wings Arts Council, (6 and 8) Southwest Minnesota Arts & Humanities Council, (7E) East Central Arts Council, (7W) Central Minnesota Arts Board, (9) Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council, (10) Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council, (11) Metropolitan Regional Arts Council.
This survey is part of a very important needs assessment that will set funding priorities over the next several years for this state system to support the arts and vibrant, creative communities throughout Minnesota. We need to hear from Minnesotans like you in order to make sure activities and funding meet your needs and priorities.

This survey uses the word “arts” to cover a broad definition of activities, including visual art, music, dance, theater, media arts, literature, photography, folk and traditional arts.
