PPL Industries

PPL Industries serves hard-to-place individuals by providing them with work experience and workforce support and development. Our goal is to operate our nonprofit like a business, gain industrial clients at competitive prices, and help our participants build self-sufficiency and enter the workforce.

Staff at the Improve Group worked with us to evaluate an Office of Community Services (OCS) grant that allowed us to expand and consolidate our facility. They helped us develop program goals and communicate them to both our industrial clients and our workforce.

The Improve Group spent a great deal of time interviewing our participants and clients to understand the outcomes of our work. They also reviewed our program data. The result of their work was a clear understanding of our work and its impact on our participants and our community. We learned that our work is vital in building the skills and experience necessary for our participants to enter the workforce, and that our clients appreciate working with an organization that has a community-service focus.
