2017 marks the American Evaluation Association’s (AEA) 31st Annual Conference and is taking place on November 6-11 in Washington, D.C.

Evaluators, evaluation scholars, students, and evaluation users from around the world are invited to assemble, share, and learn from the successes of the international discipline and practice of evaluation. Themed "From Learning to Action," the 2017 conference will explore four ways that our community can learn from evaluation to create better practices and outcomes:

  • Learning to enhance evaluation practice
  • Learning what works and why
  • Learning from others
  • Learning about evaluation users and uses

The Improve Group will be presenting in several sessions at this year's event:

Thursday November 9, 11:30am - 12:15pm
In this session, we will share our how you can collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to strengthen the responsiveness of evaluation projects to the muIltiple perspectives in the communities involved.
 
Friday November 10, 11:00am - 11:45 am
Equity is increased by increasing access to evaluation benefits for under-resourced organizations and bringing more voices to the design table. This session will explore the use of creative tools and capacity building practices to promote equity and utilization of evaluation results.
 
Saturday November 11, 8:00am - 9:00am
Discussing the emerging trends in consumer behavior, corporate structure, philanthropic investment, and nonprofit management that are driving greater attention to social impact, and the intersection of evaluation and social impact measurement.
