The Improve Group
Community

Our passion for building strong programs extends to a commitment to community involvement and giving. The Improve Group established a corporate giving program in 2005. Our staff are encouraged to serve on boards and in a volunteer capacity where they can share their expertise with others.

Corporate Giving Program

The Improve Group is proud to sponsor community organizations with our corporate giving program. We sponsor up to ten organizations each year with grants between $500 and $1,000. We provide grants solely for direct costs related to items and services. We do not provide grants for general operating costs. From our grantees we request a photograph showing what the grant funds were used for so that we can showcase the organization in our company newsletter, The Improve Groove, and on our website.

The list below represents organizations who have receieved grants through our corporate giving program:

  • Kingfield Neighborhood Association received $1,000 to provide stipends to artists involved in community-building activities.
  • Ney Environmental Education Foundation received $875 for an International Wolf Exhibit, Keynote Speaker fee and activity materials for the NEEF 10th Anniversary Open House.
  • Page Education Foundation received $1,000 to support a Page Scholar.
  • Bridging received $1,000 to purchase 10 extended mattresses and frames for people and families in transition.
  • Women's Prison Book Project used our corporate giving program to purchase journals and dictionaries for incarcerated women.
  • Evergreen House received our grant to purchase materials for a shed, which was then built by the teen boys who are staying at this halfway house.
  • St. Anne's Place used our corporate giving program to purchase new toys, books and furniture for the kids' area at this women and family shelter.
  • Cheerful Givers was provided a grant to purchase items for birthday bags to give to less fortunate children.
